There aren't too many images that encompass Jack Ruby's shoes, but there are a few. The image below was taken when Ruby was on leave from the Air Force during WW2. Some of the men there are in uniform, but not him.

Huh. That's weird. How come we don't see the white sock on his right side, our left? Flooded with light:

What I notice about the shoe on the right is that it has a rather high sole, a thick sole. So does this shoe.

Let's move on.

Again, I'd have to say that it looks like a thick, prominent sole, and those shoes look pretty high-top.

There is one more:

It's pretty consistent with the others, isn't it?

So, what do you think? I'll tell you what I think. THEY WERE JACK RUBY'S SHOES, GOD DAMN IT! STOP THE NONSENSE! The Dallas Police didn't issue those shoes to him. The whole idea is ridiculous. It wasn't a fucking bowling alley! It was a police station!

They didn't have racks like that of shoes in different sizes. Give me a break! And just stop the nonsense. They are Ruby's shoes. He wore them that day. And he wore black socks, while Bookhout wore light ones.

That's the way it went, and that's the way it goes. You win some; you lose some. And these God-damn mudderpluckers lost. Bookhout lost when he got dressed that morning.
